Seattle Restaurant Week (October 2011)

We went to couple restaurant for the SRW this year:
1. The Capital Grille
2. The Corson Building

At the Capital Grille, I chose the
Field Greens, Tomatoes, Fresh Herbs as the appetizer
Parmesan Herb Marinated Filet Mignon Tournedos with Heirloom Tomatoes
and finish off with Homemade Fruit Sorbet

The field green salad with somewhat-citrus vinaigrette dressing- was very fresh.
The Fillet Mignon was tender and well seasoned, compared to their dry aged 14oz bone in sirloin steak (Although in my opinion their last year's SRW was better somehow)
I always put the Capital Grille in my must-go list during SRW.
The strawberry sherbet was not that good because it was runny and not as cold.

We went to Corson Building yesterday and i got:
Raw vegetable salad with our sourdough, hazelnuts, and cultured butter
Halibut baked in paper with saffron, Manila clams and delicata squash
Walnut oil ice cream with caramelized apple and bay laurel

Eating organic food makes me feel healthier.
Although it is hard to find parking nearby, this restaurant is worth a visit.
Their raw vegetable salad filled with slices of carrots and fall vegetables.

Their halibut was nicely paired with clams and squash.
I had a chance to try out my friend's lamb entree selection and it was the best!
compared to their chicken leg and the halibut.

The walnut oil ice cream was tasty although i won't mind some walnut bites in it :P
Their hot chocolate was very rich. They pair it with ginger, chocolate chip, and shortbread cookies.

Stay tuned for my Sullivan Steakhouse review...
(I'm going there tonight! )
